MMA MIG TIG FCAW welder

The GPW500 is an engine driven welder generator built for contractors who need welding power and site electricity from one machine. A four cylinder water cooled diesel engine rated 30 kW at 1500 rpm drives a brushless alternator and an inverter welding stage, so arc quality stays consistent while a 16 kW three phase auxiliary output keeps grinders, lighting towers, compressors and plasma cutters running. The complete set sits on a steel chassis with four pneumatic wheels and a central lifting eye, which allows one operator to reposition the unit on a pipeline right of way, inside a fabrication yard or on a rental fleet trailer without a forklift.

The welding platform covers MMA, TIG and FCAW processes with 30 to 500 A of continuously adjustable current and 75 V open circuit voltage. Dual position configuration lets crews switch between stick and self shielded flux cored wire without changing machines, and the wire feeder interface is compatible with Lincoln and Miller feeders for filling and covering passes on heavy wall joints. Inverter technology with soft switching, PWM control and negative feedback regulation produces a stable arc across the whole current range, which reduces spatter, limits distortion on thin plate and keeps penetration uniform when the operator works far from the machine at the end of a long welding cable.

Key Features
  • Real 500A welding current: 30 to 500 A adjustable output with 75 V open circuit voltage across MMA, TIG and FCAW, covering root passes, fill passes and heavy repair work with one power source.
  • Triple process flexibility: single position MMA/TIG/FCAW or dual position MMA plus FCAW configuration, so a crew can run stick electrodes in the morning and flux cored wire after lunch.
  • 16kW auxiliary generator: AC 400 V three phase 16 kW and AC 230 V single phase 6.9 kW outlets power tools, lighting and small equipment while welding continues.
  • Stable inverter arc: soft switch PWM control with negative feedback keeps the arc steady at long cable lengths and produces low spatter, tidy bead appearance and repeatable penetration.
  • Mobile chassis with pneumatic wheels: welded steel frame, four wheels and lifting eye allow one person to move the set across gravel, concrete or workshop floors without lifting equipment.
  • Protected diesel power pack: four stroke direct injection water cooled engine, 50 L fuel tank consuming about 5.0 L per hour, pre heated cold start and water temperature, oil pressure and battery voltage alarms.
  • Wire feeder ready: plug and play interface for Lincoln and Miller feeders supports efficient filling and covering welding on structural and pipeline joints.

Applications

This engine driven welder suits pipeline construction and repair crews, structural steel erectors, bridge and plant maintenance teams, shipyard outfitters and equipment rental fleets. On a pipeline spread the machine travels with the welding gang, provides stick capability for root passes and flux cored capability for fill and cap passes, and simultaneously supplies power for preheat blankets and lighting. In a fabrication shop the 400 V three phase outlet can drive a plasma cutter, magnetic drill or bench grinder while the arc is in use, which removes the need for a separate generator set on site. Rental companies value the four wheel chassis, the simple control panel and the alarm package because the units survive rough handling and are easy to hand over to customers with minimal instruction.

Because the welding stage uses inverter control with negative feedback, arc behaviour remains predictable from 30 A on thin sheet up to 500 A on thick wall pipe. Operators who move between stick and wire processes can keep a single machine on the truck, which simplifies spare parts stock, maintenance training and site logistics.

Packaging and Quality Assurance

Each set is packed in a wooden case or plywood case with the chassis wheels braced, the fuel tank drained or sealed according to shipping regulations and the control panel protected by a foam lined cover. Delivery is normally within 20 days after deposit, with a supply capacity of about 200 sets per month. Minimum order quantity is one set and the price range runs from USD 4135 to USD 7325 depending on configuration, wire feeder option and destination port. Payment terms are T/T, L/C or Western Union.

Every unit is load tested before packing and comes with an operation manual, wiring diagram and a spares list for wear items. Brushless alternator construction with H class insulation and the AVR controlled voltage regulation rate of plus or minus 1% keep output steady for sensitive tools, while the acousto optic alarm system protects the engine and alternator against over temperature, low oil pressure, over speed, over load and over current conditions. Our engineering team supports configuration choices such as rated voltage combos of 127 V and 220 V, 220 V and 380 V, or 230 V and 400 V, plus single or dual position welding layout, so buyers receive a machine matched to their local grid and welding procedure.
